Boys Varsity Track · Boys Track & Field Performs Strong to Get the Win over Rival Revere

Copley Track and Field ran past Revere last night with a 96-40 win. Senior Levi Yoder stepped up big with three first place finishes last night. Yoder took first in the 110 meter hurdles with a new personal best time of 15.92, first in the 300 meter hurdles with another personal best time 43.94, and long jump with a jump of 19’4.75″. Joining Yoder in the 110 meter hurdles was senior Parker Ohlin who finished second with a time of 15.98. Ohlin also won the pole vault with a height of 13’6″. The 4×800 meter relay team of Dylan Wood, Riley Webb, Jack McCoy, and Sam Savage won the race with a time of 8:39. The Copley trio of Sophomore Deairre Pringle, Senior Thomas Sekas, and Sophomore Noah Edingburgh swept the 100 meter dash with times of 11.82, 11.99, and 12.24, respectively. Pringle and Edingburgh were joined by Junior Cory Arp and Sophomore Jay Stanford in the winning 4×200 meter relay with a time of 1:37.74. Arp, Pringle, and Sekas were joined by Junior Owen Semmelroth in the 4×100 meter relay to run a time of 46.49 which was good enough for a first place finish. Arp also ran a new personal best time of 53.97 to win the 400 meter dash. Finishing second in the that race was Junior Ben Dobo with a time of 55.66. Freshman Dylan Wood continued to run well this season winning the 1600 meter run in a time of 4:37. Junior Zach Estephan took second in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 45.27. Sam Savage and Freshman Matthew Luecke took first and third in the 800 meter run with times of 2:12 and 2:16. McCoy and Webb finished second and third in the 3200 meter run with times of 10:38 and 10:44. the 4×400 meter relay team of Estephan, Dobo, Luecke, and Savage took first place with a time of 3:44.00. In the long jump Junior Preston Taylor joined Ohlin and Yoder to sweep the events. Ohlin jumped 19’2.75″ and Taylor jumped 18’2″. Senior Landon Robinson took first in the shot put with a distance of 42’0″ and second in the discus with a distance of 116’9″. Freshman Trevin Jordan set a huge personal best in the shot put with a distance of 40’1″ which took third place.
