Boys Varsity Wrestling · Wrestlers Qualify to OHSAA State Tournament


The Copley Indians qualified two wrestlers and one alternate to the OHSAA State Wrestling Championship to be held this weekend, March 7-9 at the Schottenstein Center on the campus of Ohio State University.

  • In the 106 pound weight class, 9th grader Zane Van Voorhis, finished in 3rd place at the district tournament earning his berth to the OHSAA State Championship.
  • In the 120 pound weight class, 10th grader Kyren Butler,  finished in 3rd place at the district tournament to earn his berth to the OHSAA State Championship.
  • In the 126 pound weight class, 10th grader Canyon Wells, finished in 5th place which qualifies him to the OHSAA Tournament as an alternate.

The team will begin their OHSAA State Tournament action on Thursday March 7th at 3:00pm. Here is a LINK to the 106 pound bracket and another LINK for the 120 pound bracket.
