Boys Varsity Soccer · Boys Soccer Receives GASOA Sportsmanship Award

At the fall athletic awards night, held on November 7th, the boys soccer team earned recognition from the Greater Akron Soccer Official’s Association (GASOA) as the winner of this year’s Team Sportsmanship Award. The GASOA Sportsmanship Award was established in 1980 in honor of long-standing referee Sandor Reiner who passed away at half time while officiating the Copley-Hudson game in October 1979. The award is presented annually to one boys team and one girls team in Greater Akron. The award is nominated and voted on by the officials that make up the membership of the GASOA. We are very proud of this recognition and congratulate Coach Antal and the student-athletes on this year’s team for their dedication to sportsmanship!
