Multiple Teams · Players of the Year


Congratulations to junior Paige Brenner and senior Jared Mattei, as both were named Suburban League American Conference Players of the Year for their outstanding 2017 seasons.

Paige excelled on the volleyball court, and helped lead the Indians to a League Championship.  On the season, Paige had 20 aces, 172 service points, 94 kills, 16 blocks, 580 assists, and 255 digs!  Coach Pastor calls Paige, “An ideal scholar athlete.  She gets things done in the classroom and on the court.  She is a tremendous role-model and a hard worker.”  Paige boasts an incredible 4.25 GPA, as well.  Congratulations to Paige on this tremendous honor.

Jared’s talents on the soccer field drove the Indians to a runner-up finish in the Suburban League, and a birth in the District Championship match.  Jared netted 11 goals and handed out 7 assists this past season and was voted the team’s MVP for the second consecutive season.  According to Coach Antal, “Jared Mattei is absolutely the best teammate I have ever coached.  He does whatever the team needs and leads by example.  He is a true role model to every single member of our soccer team.”  Jared also finds great success in the classroom where he maintains a remarkable 4.23 GPA.  Congratulations to Jared on this tremendous honor.
